Master of Camera

Schönes Video „Master of Camera“ über Gian Luigi Carminati (76) der Kameras repariert:

Gian Luigi Carminati is a passionate and poetic 76 years old man who spent his entire life repairing cameras.
In his small workshop in Milan, he takes care of old cameras with just a set of screwdrivers and a lot of patience.
We got the chance to spend some time with him and he was happy to share with us topics like why the analog is still better than the digital, his 50 years old long relationship with photography and how technology shaped the approach to this art.
We were deeply touched by these thoughts about photography coming from a self described ‘technician’ instead of a photographer.
With this two minutes video we had the ambition to tell his life through his memories.

Barcelona GO! – BARCELONA in Flow-Motion – A fast moving short film….

Wird Zeit den nächsten Urlaub zu planen. Vielleicht mal Barcelona! Jedenfalls nachdem Video muss das wohl mal sein:

In few other cities is it possible to walk from spectacular location to spectacular location. I had a fantastic time adventuring around Barcelona’s winding streets making this film.

Special thanks to Ferran Macià Edo and his colleagues from Agència Catalana de Turisme (Catalan Tourism Board) for helping me get access to shoot at numerous stunning locations including:

Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya
Gran Teater del Liceu
Sagrada Familia
Museu D’Historia De Barcelona
Palau de la Música
Santa Maria del Pi

And an extra special thanks to Marta Garriga Bardalet for patiently modelling during an uncharacteristically cold and rainy day.

Expedition Iceland

So einen Trip nach Island muss ich auch mal machen. In letzter Zeit haben mir es die nordischen Länder irgendwie angetan. Aber bei solchen Bildern auch kein Wunder.

Please watch in Fullscreen & HD with sound for best quality. To avoid skipping, please let the video fully load.

Expedition Iceland is a collection of some of my favorite shots I did around Iceland during my 17 day, 4000 mile adventure around the country during the midnight sun in June 2013. This personal piece was shot entirely using the Canon 5D Mark III and only a few different Canon lenses.

I’ve always wanted to visit Iceland, and I had to take the opportunity when it came up. Sleeping in the passenger seat of a small SUV and living off mostly gas station food, it was all worth it. The country was absolutely stunning and I certainly hope to spend more time there again.
